Symphony Orchestra
The Symphony Orchestra is a unique experience the we are proud to offer the musicians at San Juan Hills. It is not a separate class, but rather a combination of our top auditioned band (Wind Ensemble) and our top auditioned string orchestra (Chamber Orchestra). Students full array of Symphony Orchestra literature In ADDITION TO their separate band and string literature. They perform as a symphony year-round. This takes an extraordinary commitment as they prepare literature for 2 ensembles separately during their band or orchestra class, then combine during select evenings to put the full orchestra literature together. Recent pieces performed by the Symphony Orchestra Include:
Dvorak Symphony #9
Tchaikovsky Marche Slav
Berlioz Carnival Overture
Sibelius Finlandia
Brahms Academic Festival Overture
Dvorak Carnival Overture
Pictures, recording, and rosters will be added to this page as the year develops.
