Music and Movement at Laguna Niguel Montessori
Welcome to Mr. McElroy’s webpage. Mr. McElroy offers a general music class for students at Laguna Niguel Montessori. He is also the instrumental music director at San Juan Hills High School (which is why you see SJHHS music information in the header!). Feel free to browse through the website to learn about Mr. McElroy and view some recordings in the gallery.
Mr. McElroy was the classroom music teacher at Laguna Niguel Montessori, where his wife, Ms. Jennifer, teaches. As the high school schedule became too demanding to teach Montessori full time, he began offering weekly enrichment programs for students at LNMC. He also offers private piano lessons for LNMC students. Please read below to learn more about these offerings.
Music and Movement
When: Tuesdays at 2:30
1st Class Begins September 3rd
Cost: $45 Per Month
This class is a half-hour participatory class. Students will sing, move, and participate in musical activities - often with Mr. McElroy accompanying on guitar. Mr. McElroy will also bring in orchestral instruments to demonstrate with the class. This is a fun, interactive class for students of all ages! To secure your spot, please fill out the Google Form below and submit your first $45 payment. You can leave a check (with child’s name in the memo) in the purple envelope in the front office or pay through Venmo. If using Venmo, please put in the description M&M, followed by your child’s name.
Individual Piano Lessons
When: Individually scheduled
Cost: $35 per half hour lesson
Lessons are designed for beginning students age 5 or older. Younger students can be evaluated to see if they are ready for lessons. For a detailed description of how lessons work and materials needed, please read the Google doc. located here. To sign up for lessons, please fill out the Google Form below, and follow up with a text or email. Mr. McElroy will contact you to schedule your first lesson (or free evaluation for students under 5).
